Apparel Design Project

For our Apparel Design Final, we had to illustrate a collection of 6 original designs. We first made a mood board to inspire our collection, then rendered our designs and added detail with fabric swatches, textile patterns and a color palette. A cost sheet was also prepared along with an oral presentation.
 
 
 



Advanced Apparel Design Project

For our Advanced Apparel Design Final, we took on a challenge of working with a client. We got to choose our client , work one on one to come up with a design that was suitable for their style. I chose a fashionable 26 year old. She wanted a light weight 70's inspired jumpsuit which we created using a pattern with some alterations. We both went shopping for the material. She bought a polyester blend fabric with an abstract floral motif.












Visual Merchandising Project

For our final project, we had to present the skills necessary for successful retail ownership or management by presenting design plans, customer data, merchandise information and visual merchandise plans using the parameters of the brick and mortar space given to us. We had to provide the type of retail store chosen with the name of the store and our brand design.  We also had to include our location and demographics with a timeline for plans on seasonal changes. For the exterior space, we had to include plans with a description of window fronts, signage and seasonal changes.  For the interior space, we had to include mannequins, display fixtures, main traffic pattern, point of purchase, type of window display and interior display of merchandise, wall finish and advertisement, floor materials, furnishings, storage area, way-finding and seasonal changes.

Maddix is designed for fashion forward stylish men.  My goal is to create a boutique catering to men's trendy street style fashions that express individualism with an uninhibited, unapologetic style. The boutique will allow you to make bold fashion choices that aren't available in department stores. Our mission is to make you feel confident and stand out among your peers. The uniqueness of the products would be up to date on the latest fashion trends with the inventory changing quickly. You can shop in select stores or 24/7 online, there will be only a number of select items and once they are sold out they are gone forever.
